Meet Your Teachers…

Tara Taro…

Hi! I’m Tara Taro, a life long resident of Ketchikan, born and raised. I’ve been a practicing yogi for over 10 years and a teacher for 2. I’m excited to start teaching in this beautiful space.

We will begin each class with space to come back to our bodies and breathe. Followed by finding alignment in mind, body, and soul by breathing through asanas. This is a space to find peace and ease through movement and breath. All ages and abilities are welcome!

Tara is currently teaching:

Wednesdays 9:15-10:15am Vinyasa

Thursdays 5:30-6:45pm Lunar Flow

Fridays 5-6pm Power Yoga Flow

Lauren Bennet…

My name is Lauren Bennet. I was a seasonal worker for 10 years in Ketchikan, going between here and Florida. But now I call the rock my home full time! I have been teaching and practicing yoga for a total of 13 years. I got my 200 hour training in Florida. My favorite way to flow is a thoughtful and functional vinyasa. I focus on guiding yogis through intentional poses to orchestrate alignment and strength within the body. Currently, I operate a wildlife tour here in Ketchikan. My favorite things to do are read and hang out with my Labradoodle, Rudy.

Lauren is currently teaching:

Saturdays 11-12pm Heated Vinyasa

Sundays 3-4pm Vinyasa

Stephanie Cimmino…

Hi, I’m Stephanie. I’m an ERYT-200 yoga teacher rooted in the Ashtanga tradition with a deep respect for yoga as both a physical practice and a lifelong path of self-inquiry. I moved to Ketchikan in 2018 after years of teaching and running a yoga business in Florida, and I intentionally took time to listen, learn, and immerse myself in this community before stepping into teaching here.

My classes are breath-led, steady, and strength-building, drawing inspiration from traditional Ashtanga sequencing while remaining accessible and supportive. I’m especially interested in how trauma and stress live in the body, and I aim to create practices that encourage resilience, nervous system regulation, and a sense of grounded presence both on and off the mat.

I believe consistency is powerful, ritual matters, and yoga is most meaningful when it meets us where we are. I’m grateful to be sharing space with the Inside Passage Wellness community and look forward to practicing together.

Stephanie is currently teaching:

Mondays & Wednesdays 6-7am Sunrise Power Hour

Private Sessions Available $75/Hr

Stephanie also offers retreats located here in Ketchikan, Alaska. Want to know more about Stephanie and all she has to offer? Visit her website at https://wildwithinalaska.com
